St. Hallvards Bryggeri AS was founded by three beer enthusiasts with one passion in common - brewing great beer.
St. Hallvards Bryggeri is situated on the east side of Oslo. The name St. Hallvard comes from Oslos guardian angel.
The beer all have names after people from Oslo or the old Christiania, people with a unique or great history.
We get our inspiration from modern American and classic British brewing.
All our beer is brewed by hand, without filtering og pasteurization.
The brewhouse is delivered by Agrometal i Hungary. The brewhouse kettle has a volume of 2800 liters, we have eight fermenters/bright beer tanks of 5000 litres, giving us a capacity of 500,000 litres pr. year.
St.Hallvards Bryggeri crowd funded with 450 co-owners. As well as brewing great beer, we are looking into the possibilities of starting our own malting house.
We have, in cooperation with Norwegian farmhouse Løvenskiold, harvested 20 acres of barley just outside Oslo. We are also following closely the Norwegian hops projects.
The brewery has seating for up to 50 people and we can host parties and beer tastings.
We produce six classical ales all year, in addition to our seasonal varieries.
